As autumn descends on China, the Tibet tourism craze has dropped even faster than temperature. The peak season for Tibet tourism starts in June and usually ends in October, when the weather becomes cold and the amount of oxygen in the air drops from 75% in July to 55%. Starting in the fall, Tibet is not suitable for average tourists, especially those who are not in very good health. Some scenic spots, such as those to view Mt. Everest, will be closed to tourists due to the harsh weather. Tourists are advised to consider carefully before traveling in Tibet in winter for personal safety and health concerns.
